Yes, it is hot and humid. Yes, we had crickets. Yes, Thailand is awesome. I started school two weeks ago and have been studying (more or less) hard since then. (Un)fortunately our hotel has a pool and most of my fellow students are living here which means that study sessions easily turn into pool parties.
Dan is gone for the week in order to take his skuba diving certificate and I am digging into grammar, teaching skills and phonology. So far I was allowed to teach two classes (one of them with a monk as a student) and I love it!
This is it for now...my study buddies are waiting.
Mir ist klar, dass ihr bereits ungeduldig auf Neuigkeiten und Fotos aus Thailand wartet. Fotos und Videos folgen bald, versprochen.
Ja, es ist heiss und schwuel. Ja, wir hatten bereits Heuschrecken. Ja, Thailand ist der Wahnsinn. Mein Unterricht begann vor zwei Wochen und seitdem lerne ich (mehr oder weniger) eifrig. (Un)gluecklicherweise hat unser Hotel einen Pool und da fast alle meiner Mitschueler hier einquartiert sind, kann eine Lernrunde schnell zu einer Poolparty werden.
Dan ist diese Woche ueber auf einer anderen Insel und macht seinen Tauchschein und ich vertiefe mich in Grammatik etc. Bislang durfte ich zwei Klassen selbst unterrichten (einmal war sogar ein Moench unter den Schuelern) und ich liebe es!
Das soll's vorerst gewesen sein...meine Lerngruppe wartet.
